Hoeg Blueknife

Originally created in collaboration with the Grateful Guitars Foundation, the Blueknife was designed for Rob Eaton of Dark Star Orchestra. After years of friendship and guitar talk, Rob simply said, “Build it with me in mind, and I’ll play the hell out of it.” And he did.

Now, that same custom-built energy and design is available to all players looking for a powerful, road-ready instrument with roots in the Grateful Dead community.

• Brazilian rosewood fingerboard 25 1/2” scale
• Graphite plate underneath the fingerboard for stiffness and even volume of notes
• Five piece neck—mahogany two pieces, black white black Veneers down the middle of neck
• Glued in construction

Body:

• 5A Quilted Maple, top and back
• Black veneer, top and back
• Swamp Ash core
• Lighting bolt sound hole
• Blue stain
